♥ ELVIS, ELVIS, ELVIS ♥

“You have no idea how great Elvis is, really you don’t! You have no comprehension - it’s absolutely impossible! I can’t tell you why he’s so great, but he is. He’s sensational!” -Phil Spector.

♥  Elvis Presley ♥

Tonight, ladies & gentleman, I would like to pay tribute to who I believe is the greatest entertainer of all time, Mr. Elvis Presley...

I think that just by blogger name that many of you have got the hint that maybe, I might just LOVE Elvis Presley, like a lot! The King of Rock 'n' Roll personified what the whole package should be; his undeniable talent, beautiful looks, sensuality, charisma, stunning voice, stage presence & fun sense of humour endeared him to absolute millions all over the world & still do to this very day. Elvis' humility & kindness that he demonstrated throughout his entire life, undoubtedly appeals to us all. The United States Junior Chamber of Commerce even named The King 'One of the Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Nation for 1970' in January 16th 1971, Elvis said that this was indeed one of his proudest moments.!

Elvis is known the whole world over just by his first name! Not only is he regarded as one of the most important figures of Twentieth-Century 'popular culture', to me the greatest, but The King has almost created a religion of his own; with a following of millions of fans worldwide & that estimate is growing everyday...

“...a style and panache that come close to pure magic. Lithe, raunchy, the sweat pouring down his face, he now moves with the precision of an athlete, the grace of a dancer... flamboyant and flashy, sexy and self-mocking, he works with the instincts of a genius to give poetry to the basic rock performance.” (W.A. Harbinson,
From his 1975 book "The Illustrated Elvis" in a passage reflecting upon Elvis' 1969 Vegas engagement).

Elvis is my childhood! One of the first songs I ever learnt to sing was an Elvis number. I grew-up with him everywhere & it's true what they say... Once an Elvis fan, always an Elvis fan. The King is for life. Long live The King.

I leave you all tonight with the famous words of a Beatle, Mr. John Lennon...“Before Elvis, there was nothing.”

Lots of Love,
Lover-Doll Presley
