The exclusive & temporary boutique features a very special Cinderella Glass Slipper Salon- truly a magical experience for ladies & girls alike. Amongst all the fantastic joy, don't forget to see the Disney Princess dress-up area & merchandise displays- you can't miss them, as they greet you as you enter... The family-oriented interactive area encourages the whole brood to enjoy all the Disney-themed activities, including storytelling sessions! From limited edition pieces to sought-after collectibles, each item & dress-up pieces will sent your heart a-flutter.
So, armed with camera in-hand, my boyfriend & I made our way down to London's Knightsbridge. I was so excited on the train journey there- images of glittering slippers & pink princesses swirled around, waltzing in my mind... I didn't know what to expect, just that I had been promised an enchanted wonderland in which I would not leave unsatisfied...When we arrived we made our way to the fourth floor. As soon as we entered the magical, princess parlour, out came the camera (my own pics I will ad later as I lost my up-load lead)!! I was stunned by how beautiful everything looked. I have been to Disneyland many times with my family as a child & it truly is one of my favourite places in the entire world!!!
My favourite purchase opportunity has to be the glitter-embellished replicas of Cinder's glass slippers!! The Cinderella Slipper Salon not only offers these special slippers ranging from £24.95 to £34.95 (limited stock available), but for a truly royal-worthy treatment that would even make the likes of Princess Katherine envious, you'll get the chance to rest your tootsie upon your very own velvet cushion stool & have your slipper put-on- just like Cinderlla did in the beautiful fairytale! I had to do this, so, thrusting the camera into my boyfriend's hands, I seated myself, ready for the experience. It was no coincidence that the slipper fit me perfectly & makes its so extra-special that it always will, as long as you give your correct shoe size, therefore, your little or big princess will always have the memory that the slipper was made for her!! Plus, for around £20, all enchanted visitors have the opportunity experience the special 15 minute photographic experience, set against an the surrounding, enchanting, Disney backdrop, where you can even take home your very own captured memories of the experience (by appointment only)!
The beautiful & unique collaboration between Disney & Harrods didn't stop there! To really set this event off with a big, sparkly bang, Harrods & the spectators saw the advent of the famous11,000 light bulbs that adorn Harrods’ iconic façade, switched-on in true , magical, Disney style. A host of Disney Characters made this event so extra-special & topped it off with a spectacular display of dazzling & mesmerising pink fireworks, lighting the night's sky with a dreamy, pink haze! In addition to the Disney characters who made their first, ever Harrods appearance, the special Harrods Christmas parade kicked-off, featuring wonderful street dancers, the giant Harrods teddies & even Santa's trusty reindeer!
